Job Description
Essential Job Duties Conduct routine inspections of production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to identify potential issues before failures occur. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime. Complete structural repairs and general building maintenance, including painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, ceiling repairs, and replacement of lighting, filters, and other facility components. Determine when specialized outside contractors are required and communicate recommendations to management. Maintain the facility and equipment in a safe, clean, and operational condition. Track labor hours, complete work orders, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, replacement parts, tools, and equipment. Identify required parts and materials, develop repair plans, and obtain management approval before major repairs or purchases. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and OSHA safety regulations. Respond promptly to equipment failures and facility emergencies. Occasional after- hours, weekend, or emergency call-in work may be required. Support production supervisors, team leads, and other departments with maintenance-related needs. Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and facility improvement projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work area. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school or maintenance certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other maintenance equipment. Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and maintenance documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred but not required.
