Role:
The Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of hotel facilities by proactively maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position focuses on developing skills related to preventive maintenance procedures to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of hotel assets. The role requires a thorough understanding of hotel infrastructure and the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs. He /she is part of the Engineering maintenance team to implement maintenance schedules and safety protocols. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance guest satisfaction by maintaining a safe, comfortable, and fully operational environment throughout the hotel.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in preventive maintenance within the hospitality or related industry. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications:
Entry-level experience in HVAC, electrical, or facilities maintenance. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the hospitality industry. Associate degree or technical certification in facilities management or a related field. Flexible with work schedule working evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. Commit to best practices, safety standards, and preventive maintenance techniques. Develop and update maintenance schedules and documentation to ensure compliance with hotel policies and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary to minimize disruption. Collaborate with hotel management and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and support operational needs. Communicate clearly and confidently to report maintenance and engineering issues. Perform other duties which you have been trained.

Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems are essential for performing daily inspections and preventive maintenance tasks effectively. Strong troubleshooting abilities to quickly identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining guest comfort.
