  • POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Gas Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of facility equipment.
This hands-on position focuses on identifying and fixing mechanical issues before they escalate, ensuring optimal performance and safety across facilities. The Gas Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Technical Services Manager and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing activities on facility equipment and systems.
  • Conduct fault-finding and implement repair solutions for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Modify, repair, or replace systems and equipment as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Install new systems and equipment to support facility operations as required.
  • Interpret technical drawings and update documentation to reflect changes following new system installations.
  • Order spare parts and consumables to ensure timely maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Report any breaches of safety procedures to management for immediate action.
  • Actively participate in and promote company health and safety campaigns, ensuring personal and colleague safety at all times.
  • Provide support as a member of the emergency response team during installations or critical projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support organizational goals.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; equivalent experience in a related field (1-3 years) is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Must be physically capable and willing to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address mechanical issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and teamwork.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The Gas Maintenance Technician will work in facilities that may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, potential hazards, and noise. Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
