Perform routine and preventive maintenance in order to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect building and other structures to determine functional systems and defect malfunctions Coordinate work projects and establish priorities Perform basic carpentry repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, window frames, office furniture, shelves, etc. Assemble new equipment Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, high pressure washers, squeegees, etc. Utilize tools and equipment in performing building maintenance including, but not limited to, ladders, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, small drills, pliers, paint brushes, etc. Secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing and electrical issues Assist in performing minor HVAC work Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space Replace a variety of light bulbs and lighting accessories Change filters on various ventilation units Maintain grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly manner Secure storage areas Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner Report and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required Remove trash in accordance with established procedures Replaces or updates inoperable materials and appliances Understand the functions and operations of all equipment Promote safety awareness Performs other related duties as required.

Educational and Other Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum three years of custodial/ maintenance experience preferred Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, grounds keeping, and appliance repair Knowledge of safety practices and procedures Ability to safely dispose hazardous materials Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions Sensitive to confidential information Must work independently and as a member of team

Mental and Physical Requirements:

Able to read, speak and write English. Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions. Standing, walking, speaking, hearing
