Job Description

Facilities and Maintenance Technician Reports To:
Director of Facilities and Maintenance
ARMS OF HOPE MISSION
To transform the lives of disadvantaged children, youth and families by providing hope and support in a nurturing, Christian environment.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities and Maintenance to maintain the Boles Campus facilities, maintenance and grounds of Boles Campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Community Engagement:
    Ensure attitudes and actions while performing tasks are Christ-like in dealing with residents and staff.
  • Buildings:
    Maintenance and care for all Boles Campus buildings and facilities. Respond to work order requests in a timely manner.
  • Grounds:
    Responsible for the upkeep of Boles Campus grass, landscape, and general look of campus.
  • Groups:
    Responsible to assist in organizing and directing volunteer groups on campus, to work to accomplish the mission of a great group experience.
  • New Projects:
    To assist in planning, organizing and executing new building plans, following Director's lead.

Community Relations:
To be a good neighbor to our adjacent properties, work with and form relationships. Ability to do pickup donation in the area. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school Diploma or GED. Preferred up to two
  • four years of facilities or construction work.
Certificates, licenses, registrations: None needed, although ability to gain necessary certificates or licenses may be required. Current driver's license is required.
Other:
Complete a background check, and drug test. Ability to work with multiple aged groups, residents and staff. Friendly and open to learning new things.
