In this vital role, you will operate specialized heavy equipment, including carry deck cranes, to facilitate efficient materials handling and lifting operations on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that loads are moved safely and accurately, supporting project timelines and maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of lifting equipment while contributing to large-scale construction projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate carry deck cranes and other material handling equipment with precision, ensuring safe lifting and movement of construction materials Follow load handling procedures in crane operations, including rigging, load securing, and safety protocol adherence Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance Implement OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all lifting and materials handling activities Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences, secure loads using appropriate rigging methods, and ensure proper load distribution Maintain detailed logs of crane operation activities, safety checks, and incident reports as required by safety regulations Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by loading and unloading materials safely onto trucks or storage areas using appropriate lifting techniques Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, and heavy equipment operation Proven experience in construction workplace safety regulations and implementation of OSHA standards Skilled in materials handling, load securing rigging methods, and rigging techniques for various types of loads Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment proficiently Knowledge of safety equipment usage including harnesses, helmets, glasses, gloves, and other personal protective gear Commercial driving skills for operating crane trucks or transport vehicles as needed on-site or between locations Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures related to heavy equipment or materials movement Join us in a role that combines technical expertise with a commitment to safety!
