The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of automated manufacturing equipment and facility systems within a PVC production facility. This position performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on extrusion lines, automation systems, material handling equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure. The Maintenance Technician works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain high standards of safety and product quality.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on PVC extrusion lines and associated downstream equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated control systems.
Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, technical manuals, PLC diagnostics, and maintenance tools.
Repair and maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, compressors, blowers, chillers, vacuum systems, and process equipment.
Inspect, maintain, and replace tooling, dies, calibrators, cutters, and other extrusion-related components.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Technical certification, vocational training, Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in plastics extrusion, PVC manufacturing, chemical processing, packaging, or related industrial processes preferred.
Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning programs preferred.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
