ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to identify causes of malfunctionDiagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and test for proper operationDetect faulty operations or defective materials and report issues as requiredDismantle machines and equipment to access problem areasInspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other mechanical issuesPerform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on production equipmentStart machines and equipment to test operation following repairsRepair or replace defective parts, motors, belts, and adjust feed mechanismsConnect wiring to motors and fixtures, replace switches and fuses, and splice or insulate wiresConduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipmentMaintain clean work areas, tools, and equipmentRemove dirt, dust, grease, and waste material from machinesClean and lubricate machine parts to ensure smooth operationPerform general building maintenance such as patching, painting, and minor plumbing repairsAssist with installation of new production machinery and equipmentMaintain routine housekeeping standards and safety compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and understand mechanical processesBasic knowledge of electronics and hydraulicsPrevious experience in a machine shop performing maintenance mechanic duties preferredAbility to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsHigh school diploma or equivalent required #psseguin
