What You'll Do

Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects Work closely with the continuous improvement team to work on process improvement initiatives & projects Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship Troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively support the CMC Safety Culture What You'll Need

Must possess a strong interest in Industrial Engineering Technologies and be enrolled at Junior/Senior level education Able to work a flexible schedule to include 40 hour work weeks during summer (June-August) Able to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision Knowledge of processes in Microsoft windows, engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works Ability to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices and procedures Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces Push and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbs Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication Previous internship experiences preferred Your Education

High School Diploma or GED required Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field at time of internship (Junior level or higher preferred) We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
