Job Description
What we do RAMPED builds and operates electric perimeter security for commercial properties — 10-foot fences delivering 7,000 volts of pulsed current, backed by solar power. We install it, own it, and maintain it. Customers pay a monthly fee. We're launching in Houston and building our first installation crew from the ground up. You'd be one of the first people on that crew, and we want you to grow with us as we do.
Paid training included, working with our founder hands on. We want you to grow with us - we intend on elevating early crew members that prove themselves trustworthy to lead teams and beyond. This company is a true performance-based meritocracy What you'll do Set steel posts, run wire, and build electric fence perimeters on commercial sites• Install and repair chain-link fencing Mount cameras, floodlights, horn speakers, and solar panels on fence posts Run low-voltage wiring and connect components (we train the electric-fence-specific work — energizers, grounding, testing). No previous electrical experience needed. Load, drive, and unload our full ton truck and trailer from our Houston warehouse to job sites• Be responsible for quality control of installs. Work directly with the founder on early installs.
In the near term, as we ramp up our sales pipeline, we will need your assistance with assorted tasks, including, but not limited to, setting up our warehouse (organizing / assembling shelves etc.); making cold calls, testing new materials, among other items What you need 2+ years in fence installation, or 3+ years in a comparable outdoor trade (structural steel, solar install, sign installation, low-voltage) Eagerness to learn, grow, and participate in a true meritocracy that will reward you for quality. Comfortable with physical work outdoors in Texas heat — digging, lifting 50+ lbs, ladder work Valid driver's license and clean enough record to drive company vehicles Reliable - our customers are commercial operators and install dates are contractual Able to pass a background check. What helps Chain-link and commercial fence experience specifically Bilingual English/Spanish• Experience towing trailers; experience with skid steers or augers• Low-voltage, solar, or electrical experience of any kind. Starting at $18 / hour W2 role with paid vacation, health insurance, and a 401k plan. Paid training on electric fence systems — a skill almost nobody in Texas has.
