Maintenance / Engineering Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to help maintain the hotel's guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and building systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly while providing excellent service to guests and team members. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. Inspect and repair guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Perform repairs such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, faucets, toilets, doors, locks, and other building components. Monitor hotel equipment and building systems for proper operation. Complete preventive maintenance inspections and maintain accurate records. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all hotel safety procedures and applicable regulations. Work with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required. Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed. Provide professional and courteous service to guests at all times. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or commercial property. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to use common hand and power tools safely. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service requests. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks for extended periods.
