Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Level II Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician Level II, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the gas and chemical piping systems within a leading semiconductor manufacturing environment. We are expanding our team to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of these critical systems. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Chemical and Slurry Distribution systems. Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, filters, valves, panels, and piping systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and basic control/instrumentation issues. Respond to equipment alarms and emergency calls. Perform equipment and part checks, inspections, and parameter monitoring. Support system startup, shutdown, flushing, chemical changeovers, and related activities. Safely handle chemicals and slurry following SOPs, MSDS/SDS, and safety rules. Replace parts such as filters and sensors when required. Document maintenance activities and complete shift handover reports. Support new installations and modifications on site. Follow all procedures required by law and customer specifications, including EHS, PPE, LOTO, and Chemical Safety Procedures. Essential Skills Experience in semiconductor facilities, chemical, slurry, UPW, CDS, CCSS, ultra-high purity, or similar industrial systems. Advanced knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and instrumentation. Ability to read P&IDs, SOPs, and maintenance procedures. Proficiency in PLCs and experience in the installation and commissioning of equipment. Strong safety mindset and teamwork skills. Minimum OSHA 10 (General Industry) certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the semiconductor industry or with chemical and slurry systems. Preferred job titles include Megasys Technician, Chemical Technician, Chemical Maintenance Technician, or Chemical Equipment Technician. Work Environment The role requires working on day shifts with the starting shift being Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. A shift is likely Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday with 12-hour shifts, while C shift is likely Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday with 12-hour shifts. The position involves working in a semiconductor manufacturing setting, handling advanced equipment and following strict safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taylor, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
