A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
The Standard 401K - After 3 months of employment, Company match Paid Holidays Paid Time Off and Sick Time Key Responsibilities Facilities Operations and Maintenance Coordinate routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities Ensure facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building equipment, are operating efficiently Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and operational improvements Manage maintenance schedules and equipment service records Coordinate vendor services and monitor contract performance Service Orders and Project Management Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure facility services are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards Manage facility work orders from initiation through completion Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency, business impact, and safety requirements Coordinate facility improvement projects, renovations, and space planning activities Track project timelines, budgets, and resource utilization Communicate project status updates to Corporate Solutions leadership Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies Conduct routine safety inspections and corrective action follow-up Maintain records of inspections, permits, certifications, and compliance documentation Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives Quality and Continuous Improvement Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in partnership with the Director of Facilities and/or Corporate Leadership. Promote best practices and continuous improvement within facility operations Qualifications Position qualifications include the following: High school diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical certification in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field preferred Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations Strong organizational and scheduling skills Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Adaptable and effective in dynamic, fast-changing operational environments Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout facilities and conduct inspections Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments as required p5ld8cCKaE
