About us Waterton Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. We are looking for a Floor Technician to join our Tyler, TX team and perform a variety of tasks related to floor care, maintenance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities Floor Maintenance:
Sweep, mop, buff, wax, and polish vinyl, tile, and hard surface floors.
Safety Protocols:
Place "wet floor" signs, keep hallways free of cords or clutter, and follow safety rules.
Equipment Upkeep:
Safely operate and clean floor buffers, burnishers, vacuums, and water extractors.
General Support:
Empty trash bins, clean up accidental spills quickly, and help move heavy items or equipment when asked
Qualifications and Skills Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience:
Prior Floor Tech experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Physical Strength:
Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift heavy cleaning equipment for long hours.
Safety Knowledge:
Understanding of OSHA guidelines, infection control, and safe chemical handling.
Communication:
Ability to follow instructions and speak politely with elderly residents, visitors, and staff.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$11.00 per hour
