In this 1099 contractor role, you will provide garage door repair, installation, and maintenance services for residential customers while delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and interested in building a flexible, performance-driven career. No prior garage door experience is required — training is provided.
Responsibilities:
Perform residential garage door repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance Diagnose customer concerns and provide effective solutions in a professional manner Use OGD's job-routing platform to accept available jobs and communicate job status Maintain a high level of customer service throughout each job Perform all work in accordance with industry-standard safety practices Operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders up to 8 feet Remove and haul away old garage doors and equipment Maintain accurate job documentation and work order updatesRequirements:
Must own a pickup truck that is 20 years old or newer Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders Strong communication and customer service skills Ability and willingness to service jobs within an agreed-upon service area Willingness to attend an initial 10-Day training session in Fort Worth, TX to learn OGD's service standards and systemsCompensation & Contractor Information:
1099 independent contractor position Uncapped commission earning potential Weekly payment Contractors set their own schedule and may accept or decline available jobs Initial hardware, springs, tools, and related equipment are provided by the company Paid training provided — no prior garage door experience requiredJob Types:
