HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN
IMPACTSG7Mechanical Systems SupportAssist with installation, inspection, and basic maintenance of mechanical systems including fixtures, mounts, test rigs, track hardware, and support equipmentSupport mechanical assembly and disassembly of components related to vehicle and tire testing activitiesPerform basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues such as fastener failures, alignment concerns, wear, and vibrationUse hand tools and basic power tools to perform mechanical tasks safely and accuratelyTesting & Engineering SupportAssist engineers during setup and teardown of mechanical test equipment and test vehiclesSupport alignment, torque checks, fluid checks, and basic adjustments required for testing activitiesAssist with routine inspections of test tracks, mechanical fixtures, and support equipment to identify defects or wearSupport data collection activities by ensuring mechanical systems are properly installed and functioningPreventive Maintenance & SafetyPerform basic preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment as assignedFollow all site safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and job safety analyses (JSA)Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or abnormal operation to supervisorsQualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE
ROLEHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, torque principles, and mechanical assembliesFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices (calipers, torque wrenches, tape measures)Ability to follow mechanical drawings, work instructions, and engineering guidanceBasic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, or equivalent)Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
