Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Handyman to join our facilities maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and operational tasks across an industrial surface mining environment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, framing, building, cleaning, maintaining, and excellent customer service skills, contributing to the seamless operation of our facilities. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to identify issues early and prevent failures. Perform repairs on equipment using schematics and technical manuals; utilize tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage to ensure optimal operation. Execute residential painting projects with attention to quality standards and safety protocols. Assist with HVAC system repairs and upgrades to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs. Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, framing, building and contractor work. Strong all around Handyman skills.
