In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of garage doors and related hardware. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to efficiently complete multiple installations in a workday. Duties Perform complete garage door and garage door opener installations according to manufacturer specifications and Poulson Doors LLC standards. Safely remove existing garage doors, tracks, springs, openers, and related hardware when required. Accurately measure openings and evaluate job-site conditions before and during installation. Install torsion and extension spring systems safely and correctly. Install garage door tracks, rollers, hinges, cables, drums, brackets, panels, weather seals, and related hardware. Install and program garage door openers, remotes, keypads, safety sensors, and other accessories. Properly balance and adjust garage doors to ensure smooth and safe operation. Identify and correct installation problems or deficiencies. Make appropriate field adjustments when job-site conditions differ from the original work order. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site. Protect customer property, vehicles, flooring, walls, and other areas from damage during installation. Communicate professionally with customers and explain the operation and basic maintenance of newly installed equipment. Review completed work with the customer and ensure the customer understands the equipment and warranty information. Complete required paperwork, photographs, measurements, inventory records, and job documentation accurately. Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and installation materials in good working condition. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA-related safety practices applicable to the job. Identify potential safety hazards and report them to management. Assist with troubleshooting installation, hardware, and opener issues. Assist in training and mentoring Installer I employees when assigned. Represent Poulson Doors LLC professionally at all times. Perform other duties related to garage door installation as assigned by management. Requirements Previous experience installing residential garage doors. Demonstrated ability to independently complete standard garage door installations. Working knowledge of garage door systems, hardware, springs, tracks, openers, and related components. Ability to safely use common hand and power tools. Ability to read and understand work orders, installation instructions, measurements, and manufacturer specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver garage doors, panels, openers, and installation materials. Ability to work from ladders and perform physical work for extended periods. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and job-site environments.
