Job Description

Key Property Management is seeking a Part-time OR Full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician in St. George, UT. The responsibilities of this position include the following: Perform daily maintenance of apartments, grounds, parking lots, and common areas General repairs - including electrical, carpentry, sidewalk, and parking lot Troubleshooting of appliance, plumbing and HVAC systems Prepare units for new move-ins including painting and some cleaning Oversee preparation for government inspections with an emphasis on site health and safety
REQUIREMENTS
The Apartment Maintenance Technician will work with the Property Manager to identify janitorial, maintenance-related and capital improvement activities. Initiate, perform, and/or oversee janitorial and maintenance projects. Perform apartment turnovers, repairs, grounds maintenance, and overall upkeep a multi-unit property. Assist Property Manager in the implementation of site policies, standards, procedures, and government programs relating to the overall maintenance and upkeep of a "HUD subsidy" property. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, concurrent maintenance activities. Work with Property Manager to meet and exceed the needs of the apartment community. Develop scopes-of-work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing, collaborating with the Site Manager as well as corporate property management portfolio management on an approved, and up-to-date, vendor list Candidates must be detail-oriented and be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic. Superior customer-service skills are a must. Wage is DOE Benefits vary based on status, employees working 30+ hours per week are considered full-time and are eligible for all benefits. Medical insurance premiums may be covered at up to 100% for individuals working at least 30 hours per week
