Position:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role works closely with production teams to minimize downtime, support optimal output, and maintain equipment performance through preventive and corrective maintenance. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance. Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and machine configurations to meet varying production requirements. Observe machinery in operation to locate sources of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or technical issues. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and dismantle machinery to remove, repair, or replace defective parts. Inspect, test, and measure parts using appropriate tools and instruments to determine specifications or changes in requirements. Follow established maintenance protocols, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines. Receive, prioritize, and complete assigned maintenance and repair tasks in a timely manner. Assist with scheduling and performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities to reduce equipment downtime. Ensure PM tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Maintain inventories of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies; request or place orders as needed. Train and support production employees on basic equipment operation and routine preventive maintenance. Provide maintenance and mechanical support by responding to questions, issues, and service requests. Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and cross-functional teams. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs. Job Requirements / Work Environment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate industrial machinery and technical equipment. Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to analyze information, diagnose issues, and create maintenance reports. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, and overtime. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb during the shift. Comfortable working in an manufacturing environment. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. Relevant technical certifications, apprenticeships, or specialized training preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing maintenance experience.
