Job Description
Maintenance Technician - Welded Wire Mesh Manufacturing Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on wire drawing machines, mesh welding equipment, roller conveyors, and other plant machinery to minimize downtime and support production. Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain wire drawing machines, mesh welding equipment, conveyors, and related machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Install, inspect, and repair motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and other machine components.
- Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with equipment installations and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
