Submittal Maintenance Technician | Tremonton, UT Nexeo Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to support operations at a leading food manufacturing facility in Tremonton, Utah. This temporary position is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working in a fast-paced production environment. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting facility reliability and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic production systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Support food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements throughout the facility.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with equipment installation, calibration, modifications, and process improvement projects.
- Fabricate, repair, and install parts and components as needed.
- Maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC systems, boilers, and other facility equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Support building maintenance, facility upkeep, and general maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Qualifications
- Vocational training, technical certification, or education in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Experience maintaining motors, pumps, conveyors, boilers, HVAC equipment, and production machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CMMS software and maintenance documentation preferred.
- PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
