Overall Purpose of the Job Work under general supervision within a Workshop environment carrying out maintenance, diagnoses and repairs to a range of equipment. Undertake the preparation of equipment to Company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment. Key Activities and Accountabilities Dismantle, adjust and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications and repair manuals. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. Loading and unloading of equipment. Operate forklifts as needed. Clean and organize yard and work shop areas. Complete all associated paperwork in accordance with company policies Attend required training as deemed necessary by job duties, Training, Operations, Safety, Quality etc. Learn and become conversant with all company philosophies, policies, and procedures including safety, quality, operational, and environmental training. Other duties as assigned by management including but not limited to, CDL driving responsibilities. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this job, you are required to perform this job in a constant state of alertness. Job Knowledge and Qualifications One (1) plus years' work experience in shop maintenance or as a mechanic preferred
PREFERRED
live within 50 miles of the employer's location and have reliable transportation. Must be available at all times as this is a 24/7 on-call position. High school diploma or GED preferred. Oil field equipment maintenance experience preferred. Valid personal identification documents. Capable of driving company vehicles (must meet company vehicle driver eligibility requirements). Available to work to tight deadlines. Ability to communicate with people at all levels. Ability to meet physical demands of job position. Satisfactory results of pre-employment screening (ie background, drug/alcohol, physical).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and smell. Requires occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and exertion of force up to 50 lbs. Ability to see objects close, afar, and use peripheral vision is required. Ability to hear and take verbal direction over loud ambient noises is imperative for the safe execution of job duties. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noises.
Works outdoors:
regularly subject to cold, warm, wet or humid conditions resulting from weather or other various conditions. Regularly work in high, precarious places or near fumes / air borne particles.
