- CNC Equipment Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment and other industrial manufacturing machinery.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with preventative maintenance programs, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC plasma and milling machines and other manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues. Diagnose faults using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Maintain and repair manufacturing support equipment, including compressors, conveyors, cranes, forklifts, and other facility systems. Install, modify, and improve machinery to increase reliability and production efficiency. Perform routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures before they occur. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Work closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Assist with equipment upgrades, facility projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification is a plus. industrial maintenance experience. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machinery such as mills, lathes, routers, plasma tables, laser cutters, or similar equipment.
Strong knowledge of:
DC and AC Electrical systems PLC troubleshooting Hydraulics and pneumatics Bearings, motors, gearboxes, and drives Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments. Preferred Skills Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mazak, Mitsubishi Peddinghaus, Voortman, or other CNC controls. Knowledge of VFDs, servo motors, and motion control systems. Experience using CMMS software such as Limble, MaintainX, or similar platforms. Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance best practices.
