Job Description

Maintenance Technician Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Pay:
$24-25 per hour depending on experience Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the community and ensuring apartments, common areas, and grounds are safe, clean, functional, and well maintained. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in their work, communicates well with residents and team members, and provides excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders promptly and professionally, keeping residents informed throughout the process. Diagnose and repair common apartment maintenance issues. Perform appliance troubleshooting and repairs , including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other household appliances. Complete drywall repairs , patching, and minor wall repairs. Perform light paint touch-ups and other cosmetic repairs as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with smart locks and other smart-home technology . Assist with apartment turns , including preparing units for new residents and completing necessary repairs and touch-ups. Assist with grounds, common areas, and exterior property maintenance as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive community environment. Respond to resident maintenance requests with a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude. Communicate clearly with residents regarding work orders, repairs, scheduling, and completion status. Identify potential maintenance issues before they become larger problems and communicate needed repairs to management. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance and work environment. Work collaboratively with the maintenance and property management teams to ensure the community operates at a high standard. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in apartment maintenance, property maintenance, or a related skilled trade preferred. Strong experience with appliance repair and troubleshooting . Experience with drywall repair and light painting . Ability to troubleshoot smart locks and technology-enabled apartment features . General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other common apartment maintenance systems. Experience with apartment turns and preparing units for move-in is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Friendly, professional, and respectful when interacting with residents. Ability to manage multiple work orders and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is technically skilled, dependable, and resident-focused . You should be comfortable diagnosing problems, finding solutions, and taking ownership of maintenance requests from start to finish. Most importantly, you should understand that great maintenance is about more than fixing things—it is also about providing residents with a positive experience and communicating with them throughout the process.

$24-25 per hour

PM, Monday-Friday Pay:
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
