The newly renovated Hilton Spark, Chincoteague, Virginia ia seeking an experienced Maintenence Technician to join their team. This position supports the daily operation and upkeep of the propertyby maintaining guest rooms, public areas and property amenities. This hands on role helps insure the hotel remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through a scheduled preventive maintenance program and routine property maintenance. This Hilton property has an emphasis on great curb appeal and being a well maintained property to ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems Troubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systems Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptions Inspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures Assist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failures Work closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operations Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspections Support additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions Flexible availability including weekends and holidays CPO pool certified a plus or the ability to become certified.
Pay:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
