Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Associate to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment repair techniques, and knowledge of electrical work. Conduct building interior maintenance including painting, carpentry repairs, drywall patching, and general facilities upkeep to enhance the environment's appearance and safety. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control building automation systems for HVAC, lighting, and other facility functions. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; employ tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Lead or assist with maintenance painting projects and other R&M (Repair & Maintenance) tasks to uphold facility standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; support inventory management of maintenance supplies and R&O (Repair & Operations) materials. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants while ensuring minimal disruption. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field with knowledge of HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical work, carpentry, and general building interior upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, plumbing repairs, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as schematics for electrical wiring or plumbing layouts. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and provide customer service when needed. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with maintenance painting projects or residential painting is a plus. Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) procedures including inventory management of parts and supplies.
