Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, and appliance repair, with a proven track record in service technician roles. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of various equipment and systems across our facilities. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all staff and customers. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and kitchen equipment to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently. Conduct appliance installation, repair, and maintenance across various commercial and industrial settings with attention to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to support operational efficiency. Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site service calls and equipment transportation while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to execute construction or renovation projects that involve mechanical or HVAC systems upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes, timelines, and system functionality. Lead or assist in training junior technicians or apprentices in proper maintenance procedures and safety practices. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with expertise in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, air conditioning units, kitchen equipment maintenance, and appliance installation. Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within commercial or industrial environments. Construction experience is advantageous for handling system upgrades or facility improvements involving mechanical components. Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues swiftly. Customer service orientation with effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members alike.
