Full-Time, 12-Month Job Description Fork Union Military Academy seeks a full-time Maintenance Plumber (Journeyman) to perform skilled plumbing work and support general maintenance operations across campus. This role is responsible for maintaining plumbing systems, diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and assisting with broader maintenance needs across student, staff, and support facilities. The employee will adhere to the mission of the school. Key Responsibilities Perform journeyman-level plumbing work, including water lines, drains, fixtures, valves, sinks, toilets, and pumps. Diagnose leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and plumbing failures. Perform preventive maintenance and record completed repairs through work orders or similar tracking. Assist with general maintenance tasks and campus support as needed. Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a safe and organized manner. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Active journeyman plumber license required; Virginia license preferred. Plumbing experience in institutional, commercial, residential, or campus settings required. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills required. Valid driver's license required. Physical/Work Conditions Frequent standing, kneeling, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
