Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in searching for a Direct Hire, Maintenance Technician. Our client is a leader in the distribution of frozen fruits and vegetables. We are seeking dependable, proactive and results-driven 3rd Shift Production Maintenance Technician. This role plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of food products by maintaining all plant and warehouse equipment to ensure 100% uptime, and internal standards to maintain the integrity of the food manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities
- Promote Safety First o Follow all company Safety procedures and Quality GMP's o Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
o Maximize equipment uptime and minimize down time through preventive and corrective maintenance repair. o Working with production team to change over machine and adjust for maximum efficiency while minimizing waste. o Participate in root cause analysis, safety design and quality improvement process. o Work second shift, off shift and weekends as needed. o Ability to work at heights. o Ability to work in a cold environment.
Requirements Education & Experience:
o Prior maintenance experience in the food industry. o 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance in a production environment. (Food MFG preferred) o Mechanical troubleshooting: Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors.
o Pneumatic troubleshooting:
Cylinders, Valves, Compressors. o Skilled in Tig welding, fabrication, and other shop equipment. o Conveyors, drives and sprockets. o HVAC and Refrigeration. o High school diploma or a GED certificate required. o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) o Must have excellent attention to detail. Work Location & Working Conditions This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Front Royal, VA facility. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to support both shifts:
Night Shift:
11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to cold temperatures, loud machinery, and strict food safety protocols.
