In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance will help uphold our high standards of quality and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic hospitality setting while delivering exceptional service. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks to repair or modify structural elements or fixtures within the hotel premises. Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting systems, water heaters, and other essential amenities. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated building systems for efficiency and safety. Lead maintenance painting projects to uphold the aesthetic standards of interior spaces. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system inspections in accordance with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) best practices. Collaborate with team members to coordinate large-scale repairs or upgrades while ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently. Proficiency with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for various building systems. Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair including pipe fitting, leak detection, and fixture replacement. Skilled in HVAC system repair including troubleshooting compressors, fans, filters, thermostats, and ductwork. Ability to operate hand tools effectively such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, welders for various repair tasks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems for monitoring HVAC or lighting controls. Experience with maintenance painting—residential or commercial—to enhance interior aesthetics. Knowledge of electrical equipment repair including circuit breakers, switches, outlets, wiring repairs using an ohmmeter or multimeter. Strong understanding of facilities maintenance procedures including safety protocols and schematics interpretation. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration with team members. Leadership qualities to guide junior technicians when necessary while maintaining a focus on teamwork and safety standards.
