Job Description

  • SUMMARY
  • Genesis Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an opportunity for growth for a skilled technician. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will work closely with operational teams to conduct maintenance, ensure equipment uptime, and support preventative maintenance programs.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues by observing machinery operation and using measuring/testing instruments.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on plant equipment and facilities. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems as directed. Inspect and measure parts for wear and ensure dimensional accuracy using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Adjust and align equipment using hand tools and standard measurement devices. Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and document maintenance activities clearly. Support the reliability and efficient operation of plant machinery by responding promptly to maintenance requests. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Able to read blueprints and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting. Experienced with mechanical, pneumatic, control, and electrical systems. Experience with wood processing machinery is a plus (i.e., CNC routers, Edge banders, HPL and paper lamination) Advanced understanding of troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Good communication and teamwork skills. Able to multitask, prioritize work orders, and resolve equipment issues as assigned. Physically able to work in a production environment and meet attendance requirements. Reliable transportation.
