Job Description
Nestlé Purina is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing plant running safely and efficiently. In this on-site role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, motors, PLCs, and automation equipment that power our pet food production lines. You'll perform preventive maintenance, support equipment installations and upgrades, and respond quickly to breakdowns to reduce downtime. Working in a collaborative, safety-first culture, you'll partner with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to drive continuous improvement and help deliver high-quality products for pets worldwide. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in a manufacturing environment Troubleshoot and repair motors, PLCs, control panels, and plant power distribution to minimize downtime Support production by responding quickly to equipment issues and performing root cause analysis Assist with installation, calibration, and upgrades of electrical components and automation systems Follow Nestlé Purina safety, quality, and GMP standards while documenting work in maintenance systems Collaborate with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency Participate in continuous improvement, 5 S, and reliability initiatives within the plant Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation Required Skills Electrical troubleshooting Industrial controls PLC diagnostics Variable frequency drives (VFDs) Preventive maintenance Motor controls Reading electrical schematics Power distribution systems Lockout/Tagout procedures CMMS software Instrumentation and sensors Root cause analysis Safety and GMP compliance Basic mechanical skills Wiring and panel building
