Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our facilities team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. Your expertise will help keep our facilities running smoothly, supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to prevent issues before they arise. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to restore functionality efficiently. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting (including maintenance painting and residential painting), and general facilities repairs with precision and safety in mind. Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Use technical schematics and diagrams to diagnose problems accurately; execute repairs adhering to safety standards. Assist with maintenance of building interior spaces, including drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, and fixture replacements. Support maintenance operations by managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies; prioritize tasks effectively for timely completion. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude. Lead small maintenance projects when required, demonstrating leadership in problem-solving and teamwork. Experience Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Hands-on knowledge of electrical work including troubleshooting electrical circuits and repairing electrical equipment. Skilled in welding techniques and carpentry tasks with the ability to read schematics confidently. Familiarity with HVAC system repair, including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, filters, and ductwork. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers along with testing instruments like ohmmeters effectively. Strong understanding of plumbing system maintenance including pipe repairs and leak detection. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks independently while working as part of a team.
