Lamar Advertising Company is seeking a Billboard Builder to help construct, install, and maintain our outdoor and digital displays in the field. In this hands-on role, you'll work at heights assembling structures, hanging vinyl, and servicing lighting or digital components using hand tools, power tools, and bucket trucks. You'll follow strict safety and fall-protection procedures while reading work orders and layout drawings to ensure accurate placement and quality. Partnering closely with operations and sales teams, you'll support high-visibility campaigns for local advertisers and contribute directly to Lamar's long-term presence in the community. Responsibilities Construct, install, and maintain traditional and digital billboards for local and regional advertising campaigns Interpret work orders, site plans, and layout drawings to ensure accurate placement and sizing of billboard structures Safely operate hand and power tools, lifts, bucket trucks, and rigging equipment in accordance with OSHA and company standards Perform structural inspections, repairs, and replacements on billboard frames, faces, lighting, and digital components Work at heights and in varying outdoor conditions while following strict fall-protection and safety procedures Collaborate with operations, sales, and real estate teams to meet installation timelines and quality expectations Load, transport, and stage materials, vinyls, and hardware for multiple job sites in the market Document completed work with photos and basic reports for internal tracking and customer verification Communicate with supervisors and crew members to plan daily routes, resolve on-site issues, and minimize downtime Support emergency service calls for storm damage, outages, or urgent advertiser changes as needed Required Skills Billboard or sign installation General construction and carpentry Operation of bucket trucks and aerial lifts Use of hand and power tools Rigging and material handling Blueprints and layout interpretation Basic electrical or lighting maintenance Fall protection and safety compliance Outdoor field work at heights Equipment and vehicle inspection
