Job Description

Position Overview Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of commercial office properties located in Reston, Tysons, and Manassas, Virginia . This is a position that requires travel between multiple sites. We're looking for a self-starter who can work independently, communicate effectively, and troubleshoot a wide variety of building systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on maintenance experience and a customer-service mindset. Key Responsibilities Building Maintenance Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on: HVAC equipment Plumbing systems Electrical systems Pumps and motors Building fixtures and finishes Roofs and drainage systems General Repairs Repair and replace: Ceiling tiles Door hardware Wall finishes Flooring Lighting fixtures Perform painting, drywall, and basic carpentry work as needed. Equipment & System Maintenance Maintain and service pumps, valves, motors, pneumatic controls, electrical equipment, and mechanical systems. Assist with equipment installations and building modifications. Inspect building systems and identify maintenance needs before problems occur. Safety & Compliance Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Maintain life safety systems including:
Fire alarm systems Fire pumps Fire protection equipment Follow all safety policies, company procedures, and applicable regulations. Customer Service Respond promptly to tenant requests and emergency maintenance situations. Communicate effectively with property management, vendors, and building occupants. Recommend improvements and efficiencies when identified.
Technology Utilize:
Smartphones and tablets Outlook, Excel, and Word Work order systems Building automation systems Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of commercial maintenance experience Valid driver's license with a good driving record Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Ability to work independently across multiple locations Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: HVAC Electrical Plumbing Mechanical systems Carpentry Painting Process controls Building automation systems Technical or vocational training is a plus. Some flexibility in scheduling may be required. May occasionally require overtime, emergency response, or on-call support. Must maintain a professional appearance and comply with all Cushman & Wakefield safety requirements.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
