Job Title:
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician- Job Description
- The Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated material handling systems, including conveyors and robotics, within a large, high-speed distribution facility. This role focuses on predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability.
- Responsibilities
- + Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (MHE), including conveyors + Perform preventive maintenance (PM) routines and complete required documentation + Conduct battery changes and preventative maintenance on battery systems + Accurately enter downtime data and complete daily logs and PM sheets + Manage and complete work orders within a CMMS system + Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes + Utilize basic electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair components + Track and maintain department inventory, including spare parts •Essential Skills•+ 2+ years of experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance + 2+ years of experience repairing MHE or automated conveyor systems + 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics + 2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles + 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards + 1+ year of troubleshooting and diagnostics experience on MHE systems + 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products + High School Diploma or GED •Shifts Available•6:00am•4:30pm, Sunday•Wednesday 6:00am•4:30pm, Wednesday•Saturday 5:00pm•3:30am, Sunday•Wednesday 5:00pm•3:30pm, Wednesday•Saturday •Work Environment•The role is based in a large, highly automated facility of approximately 70,000 square feet, featuring about 14 miles of conveyors and a rapidly expanding fleet of robots, growing from around 30 units to hundreds.
