Description:

Our Maintenance Technician 2 supports Mativ's Filtration and Advanced Materials Function. This individual is responsible for the safe and effective maintenance of the plant in accordance to the requirements of the production schedule. Responsible for the preventive maintenance and installation of equipment. The shift schedule is 4PM-12AM.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for making sure that every employee on the shift is working to have an accident-free environment

Communicate to leadership any issues that arise through the functions of maintenance technician using the lock out tag out process as needed.

Make use of all PPE, and ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

Attends safety meetings.

Responsible for maintaining a clean production area and workshop.

Must be familiar with OSHA regulations and be able to recognize and correct any weakness

Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including mandatory use of eye protection and hearing protection. Gloves and sleeves may also be required for some tasks.

Proper use of the Mativ Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Safe use of an authorized utility knife.

Completes necessary housekeeping duties in work area at all times.

Complies with all OSHA/Company safety requirements.

Knowledgeable of location of MSDS, First Aid Supplies, fire extinguishers, exits.

Participates actively in workplace safety.

Notifies supervisor of accidents, near misses, or unsafe working conditions.

Maintain an orderly and clean work area to promote a safe work environment.

Responds with a sense of urgency to problems within the plant.

Communicates needs or concerns of equipment breakdowns in the timely manner

Rebuild equipment and assemblies as needed.

Modifies existing equipment as needed.

Complete required preventive maintenance in a timely manner

Communicate any problems or concerns that arise within the scope of completing PM's of equipment to the appropriate individual for further action.

Complete tasks involved in the installation and/or removal of equipment in an effective and timely manner.

Compliant to CgMP Program.

Assures Calibrations are completed.

In the absence of operation personnel, halts all processes posing a threat to

Food Safety and notifies supervision.

Performs other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications:

Required High School diploma or equivalent

3 to 5 years electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance

Communication skills

Basic computer skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. with assistance.

Basic math skills

Read and comprehend English.

Ability to coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician

Ability to read basic schematics and understand simple ladder logic

Identify and use basic electrical test equipment. Volt, ohm, and amp meter

Knowledge of 3 phase power and circuits

Basic knowledge of DC motors and controls

Basic knowledge of AC motors and controls

Knowledge of basic machine mechanics

Must be familiar with OSHA regulations and have the ability to recognize and correct any system weaknesses. Preferred Familiarity with VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)

Familiarity with PLC's and basic trouble shooting

Knowledge of

NFPA 70E

Safety Requirements This position has an hourly base wage of $33.12 an hour and hours worked between 4pm-8am are eligible for a $1 per hours shift differential.
