Industrial Maintenance Technician Looking for a challenging role in a highly automated environment where you can truly make a difference? Join a family-owned regional company that has been growing successfully since 1934. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing equipment and components throughout an automated processing facility. This position plays an important role in keeping operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Equipment Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve equipment issues.
ElectricalPLC Systems:
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical circuitry, and associated control systems.
Mechanical Systems:
Inspect motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
HydraulicsPneumatics:
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including air cylinders and solenoid valves.
WeldingFabrication:
Perform
MIG, TIG, ARC
welding, cutting, brazing, and other fabrication activities as needed.
Boiler Maintenance:
Perform boiler chemical testing, daily and weekly safety checks, and necessary repairs.
Wastewater Systems:
Perform required testing and maintenance of the wastewater pretreatment system.
Lubrication:
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other equipment components according to established procedures and technical manuals.
Emergency Repairs:
Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
SafetyCleanliness:
Maintain facility safety and cleanliness standards and follow all established safety procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, support engineering teams, and assist other departments as needed.
Other Duties:
Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of successful maintenance experience.
Mechanical Knowledge:
Strong general mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of preventative maintenance, boilers, air compressors, welding and piping, hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical circuitry, PLCs, and electro/mechanical systems.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and understand maintenance literature and technical information printed in English.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required.
Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to maintenance needs as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 7 hours during an 8-hour shift.
Safety Knowledge:
Experience with formalized safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, confined space, OSHA awareness, technical safety training, or ladder safety preferred.
Additional Experience:
Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, or military experience may be considered. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Air cylinders and solenoid valves Steam traps Motor starters Gear reducers Inverter drives Industrial laundry equipment Boilers and air compressors PLC and automated control systems Welding and piping
BENEFITS
Starting Pay:
up to $35 an hour annually, depending on experience and skill level
