We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the opening and ongoing operations of a healthcare facility. This position is ideal for someone with strong general maintenance and handyman skills who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities Receive, unbox, assemble, and install furniture, equipment, and facility fixtures. Assist the Facility Manager with preparing the building and grounds for final municipal, safety, and operational inspections. Complete facility punch-list items leading up to opening. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, painting, touch-ups, and preventative upkeep. Maintain the overall appearance and condition of the building and grounds. Handle basic troubleshooting related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems ; major repairs will be outsourced to licensed contractors. Monitor outside vendors and contractors to help ensure work is completed properly. Work independently and provide management with daily photo updates and summaries of completed work. Respond promptly to urgent after-hours facility emergencies when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or a similar handyman role preferred. General working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic repairs. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Ability to lift and move heavy items, assemble furniture, handle large shipments, and remain on your feet for extended periods. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Reliable and willing to respond to occasional after-hours maintenance emergencies. Must have a smartphone capable of taking photos and sending digital updates. Healthcare, behavioral health, hospital, residential treatment, or similar facility experience is a plus.
