Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented mindset. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities infrastructure using schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters. Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel's aesthetic standards and operational integrity. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, schematics updates, and inventory of tools and parts related to maintenance operations. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or renovations while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests to resolve issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in facilities equipment maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior upkeep. Proficiency with schematics, electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, residential painting, maintenance painting, carpentry, welding, and use of hand tools. Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, electrical equipment repair, and troubleshooting HVAC systems. Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures for building facilities. Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters accurately for electrical diagnostics. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
