Position Overview As a Floor Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of floor surfaces throughout our facility. You'll perform both routine and specialized floor care, including stripping, refinishing, scrubbing, extracting, and buffing a variety of floor surfaces. You'll also operate and maintain specialized equipment, help keep common areas and entrances clean, and ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and ready for use. This is an active role that may involve working both indoors and outdoors and requires someone who is comfortable staying on their feet and working with a variety of cleaning equipment. Perform routine and specialized floor care, including stripping, refinishing, scrubbing, extracting, and buffing

Operate floor care and Environmental Services equipment safely and properly

Use equipment such as extractors, auto-scrubbers, high-speed buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, steam machines, and other specialized equipment

Maintain clean and well-kept entrances and common areas

Empty refuse and waste as assigned

Follow established cleaning and safety procedures

Complete assignments accurately, thoroughly, and on schedule

Inspect equipment regularly and report malfunctions or repair needs to a supervisor

Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment after each use

Monitor supplies and request additional materials as needed

Perform assigned work both indoors and outdoors

Treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect while observing resident rights

Participate in required in-services, department meetings, and training

Follow all facility safety, compliance, HIPAA, and infection control policies

Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality

Follow facility dress code and wear required identification

Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment operation requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior janitorial, housekeeping, Environmental Services, or floor care experience desired

Ability to safely operate and learn to operate specialized floor care equipment

Ability to perform the physical requirements of an active Environmental Services position

This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
