Job Description

Candidate must have experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and home automation systems. Preferred schedule Wednesday - Sunday 11:00am - 7:00pm. The Stowe Village Inn is looking for a full time maintenance person who will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property on a daily basis in order to achieve and provide a clean, comfortable, functional, presentable and positive guest experience. Demonstrates strong communication skills, a strong ability and willingness to adapt to evolving challenges. Perform routine inspections of buildings to identify and address maintenance needs. Conduct basic electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures. Conduct repairs on doors, windows, floors, and walls to maintain a secure and aesthetically pleasing environment. Proficiency in interior and exterior finish work. Install, maintain, and inspect smart technology devices throughout the campus including smart-lock door hardware, smart lights, electronic and software applications. Service, inspect, clean, and repair mechanical/HVAC, plumbing (boilers, furnaces, hot water heaters, toilets), water, and sewer to insure optimal performance. Maintain and repair housekeeping machinery (vacuums, washers, dryers). Assist with capital improvements. Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes removing, cleaning and replacement of trash bins. Responsible for the shoveling, salting and/or sanding of entrances, exits, stairways, and walkways during winter months. Performs other duties as assigned by management staff.
