Job Description

ICON Real Estate Services is a locally owned property management company specializing in multifamily housing throughout Western Washington since 2016. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Auburn, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with minimal general maintenance, handyman, construction, and painting experience who is looking to grow a career in apartment maintenance. We're willing to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. The Maintenance Technician will work alongside our Senior Maintenance Technician, assisting with the day-to-day maintenance of two apartment communities located approximately one mile apart, 123 units total . This is a full-time position with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop new skills and grow within our company.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with apartment turns, including painting, basic repairs, and preparing apartment homes for new residents. Help with drywall patching, painting, and general handyman tasks. Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and maintenance repairs under the guidance of the Senior Maintenance Technician. Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Help maintain clean, attractive grounds by picking up litter, removing graffiti, and assisting with curb appeal. Assist with appliance installation and basic appliance troubleshooting. Help keep maintenance shops organized and stocked with supplies. Work with vendors as needed and communicate with the Community Manager regarding maintenance priorities. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional appearance. We're looking for someone who has: General maintenance, handyman, construction, painting, landscaping, or related experience preferred. Painting experience is a highly preferred. A willingness to learn apartment maintenance—we're happy to train the right candidate. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Basic hand tools preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
