Marina Infrastructure Maintenance Technician Bremerton, WA 98311 $17.50 - $21.00 an hour - Full-time $17.50 - $21.00 an hour - Full-time Position Summary The Marina Infrastructure Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of marina facilities, docks, utilities, and related infrastructure. This position ensures a safe, clean, and operational environment for tenants, visitors, and staff, while supporting the marina's long-term asset management goals. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Facilities Maintenance Perform routine inspection, repair, and upkeep of docks, gangways, pilings, bulkheads, floats, and mooring systems. Maintain and repair marina utilities, including water lines, sewage pump-out systems, and electrical pedestals. Conduct maintenance and minor repairs on marina buildings, restrooms, storage areas, and landscaping. Monitor stormwater systems, drainage, and shoreline stabilization structures. Safety & Compliance Ensure all facilities meet local, state, and federal safety standards and environmental regulations. Inspect and maintain fire suppression systems, safety ladders, signage, and emergency equipment. Respond to emergencies, including storm damage, fuel spills, and infrastructure failures. Equipment & Tools Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and light equipment (e.g., forklifts, small boats, pressure washers). Perform preventative maintenance on marina-owned vehicles, carts, and equipment. Customer Service & Team Support Assist tenants and visitors with facility-related concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Support special events, seasonal operations, and harbor projects. Work collaboratively with marina staff to complete projects efficiently. Parks & Facilities Maintenance (as needed) When marina-specific duties are complete, assist in the upkeep of marina-owned parks, public areas, and facilities. Tasks may include mowing, landscaping, irrigation, trash collection, painting, and general facility care. Ensure public spaces remain safe, clean, and welcoming for community use. Seasonal & Weather-Related Duties Prepare docks, utilities, and facilities for seasonal changes, including winterization of water systems and equipment. Assist in storm preparation by securing marina infrastructure and vessels when necessary. Perform post-storm assessments and cleanup, ensuring docks, grounds, and facilities are safe and operational. Support snow/ice removal, debris clearing, and weatherproofing efforts as required.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in facilities, marine, construction, or related maintenance work. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Ability to swim and work safely around water. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and perform manual labor. Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

Marine or waterfront maintenance experience (docks, floats, or marina utilities). Boating knowledge and ability to operate small vessels. Certifications in CPR/First Aid, forklift operation, or related trades. Work Environment Outdoor waterfront setting with exposure to variable weather conditions. Regular contact with the public, contractors, and tenants. Requires availability for occasional weekends, evenings, and on-call emergency response.
