Job Description

SEASONAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - NIGHT SHIFT
Summary:
The Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed production equipment in a fast-paced environment. This night shift role supports operational efficiency by ensuring equipment reliability while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
Scope:
This seasonal/temporary position works within a production and cold-storage environment on a night shift schedule , handling preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and technical problem-solving. The role requires flexibility and collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair and maintain high speed production equipment. Practice safe work habits. Follows proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Completes all OSHA required training as required and correct any unsafe conditions, as necessary. Performs changeovers on equipment as required. Schedules preventative maintenance on equipment as required. Proficient at installing, repairing, and rebuilding equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems. Ability to resolve technical and complex mechanical issues. Must possess good interpersonal skills and work effectively with others in a positive manner. Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. General understanding of electric and electrical controls (PLCs). Ability to have flexibility, work nights and weekends. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Technical school completion preferred. Mechanical background or experience required. A combination of work experience and education may be sufficient.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to read and perform work instructions. Electrical, HVAC and mechanical knowledge preferred. Troubleshooting skills required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Cold storage warehouse environment. Fast-paced production setting with frequent lifting and standing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a cold-storage environment. Standing, walking, lifting, crouching, stooping and bending as needed.

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
