In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of facilities and equipment throughout the hotel. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help create a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for guests and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance knowledge in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities PTAC & Appliance Care :
Perform routine cleaning (filters/coils), basic troubleshooting, and full unit swaps of room PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) units as needed.
General Repairs & Plumbing :
Handle basic plumbing fixes (faucets, toilets, clear clogs), electrical work (replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches), and minor appliance repairs.
Drywall & Carpentry :
Perform touch-up painting, drywall repair, spackling, caulking, and minor furniture/door lock repairs. Preventative Maintenance (PM) : Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms to ensure all systems and fixtures are operating efficiently.
Guest Service & Work Orders :
Promptly respond to front desk and guest maintenance requests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
Pool & Grounds Maintenance :
Keep exterior areas neat and assist with pool water testing/maintenance (if applicable). Qualifications & Requirements 1+ years of general maintenance experience in hotels, apartments, or commercial real estate. Familiarity with PTAC units and basic hand/power tools. Solid skills in basic plumbing, electrical, and painting/drywall repair. Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for moving tools and unit replacements). CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
