Job Description

Who We Are We are an owner-operated property management company based in Mount Vernon, WA, managing multifamily apartment communities and commercial investment properties throughout the region. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our portfolio of properties throughout the greater Skagit Valley area. We take a hands-on approach to property management and maintenance. Whenever practical, we perform repairs and improvements in-house rather than relying on outside vendors. We value people who take pride in their work, solve problems, work efficiently, and are willing to jump in where needed to keep our properties operating at a high standard. The Position This is a hands-on maintenance position involving a combination of independent and team-based work at both occupied and vacant units. The position includes apartment repairs, unit turns, preventative maintenance, exterior repairs, troubleshooting, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. We are looking for someone who can assess a maintenance issue, determine what needs to be done, and follow the repair through to completion. Experience using property management software to receive, document, and complete work orders is preferred but not required. Typical Responsibilities Interior Maintenance Electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs Plumbing repairs and fixture replacement Interior painting and touch-ups Drywall repair, replacement, mudding, and texturing Door and window repair and installation Laminate, LVP, and tile flooring installation and repair Cabinet and countertop repair and installation Baseboard, casing, and finish carpentry Appliance troubleshooting and installation General maintenance troubleshooting and repairs Apartment turnover and rent-ready work Exterior Maintenance Door and window repair and installation Siding repair and replacement Deck and stairway repair Fence repair and installation Roofing inspections and minor repairs Exterior property maintenance Landscaping and seasonal cleanup Snow and ice removal as needed What We're Looking For Has previous experience in apartment maintenance, construction, remodeling, or a related trade Is comfortable troubleshooting problems rather than simply identifying them Can complete quality work without constant supervision Takes ownership of assigned work orders and projects Manages time and priorities effectively Communicates professionally with residents and coworkers Maintains an organized and safe work environment Is willing to work across multiple properties throughout the Skagit Valley area Takes pride in leaving a job finished correctly This is a good opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded maintenance professional who enjoys variety, independence, and being part of a hands-on property management team.
