Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater and surrounding areas We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Weekend Maintenance Technician to help keep our vacation rental properties safe, functional, and guest-ready. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and enjoys fixing the everyday maintenance issues that come up in residential properties. Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders at vacation rental properties Handle basic repairs and property upkeep, including: Fixing leaky faucets Adjusting or replacing door handles and hardware Replacing light fixtures, bulbs, and other basic items Minor plumbing repairs Replacing propane tanks Assembling or repairing furniture Basic drywall, paint, and wall repairs Troubleshooting common household issues Other general handyman and property maintenance tasks Follow written and verbal instructions accurately Complete work orders thoroughly and communicate when additional work is needed Take before/after photos Keep work areas clean and remove any tools, materials, or debris before leaving Communicate with management regarding completed work or issues that require additional attention Work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently Requirements Valid driver's license required Reliable personal transportation required General maintenance, handyman, property maintenance, or similar experience preferred Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Able to follow instructions clearly and accurately Able to perform basic math, measurements, and calculations Strong attention to detail Reliable and responsive communication Comfortable working independently without constant supervision Able to troubleshoot basic problems and determine when an issue requires additional expertise Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple work orders What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable figuring things out independently. Our properties are vacation rentals, so the quality of the work matters. Maintenance needs to be completed properly and the property should be left clean, organized, and guest-ready after every visit. You don't need to be a licensed plumber, electrician, or contractor for this position. We're primarily looking for someone who can confidently handle basic residential maintenance and handyman tasks and knows when a job is outside their scope. Weekend availability is required.
