The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and facility systems.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (occasionally 6:00 AM-3:00 PM)

Overtime:

Occasional Saturdays, 4-5 hours

Assignment Duration :

3-6 months Duties & Responsibilities Preventative maintenance — Performs routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems Repair assistance — Assists in repairing woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts following manuals and manufacturer specifications Orders necessary supplies and replacement parts Completes preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities Performs duties in alignment with established safety rules and procedures Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment Participates in safety meetings, continuous improvement programs, and other required sessions If assigned to the Treating Department, follows hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures Prepares required reports and documentation Performs other tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma 1+ year machine repair experience in a maintenance environment Technical knowledge — Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control technology, and welding Performs routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems
